Not surprisingly, gun violence has become one of the most urgent public health issues facing Americans. In 91%, gun violence victims tell their heart-breaking stories of loss, pain, and a heroic search for hope in a nation stalled in a senseless gun control debate. On an intense spiritual quest, Qismat Ali wraps himself in iron bells and embarks on a grueling 200-kilometer pilgrimage across the scorching deserts of Pakistan. Filmmakers Matthieu Paley and Sebastian Feehan met while on assignment, both drawn to far-flung places. Paley spoke of a mysterious group of Sufi pilgrims he encountered in 2008 wearing bells and chains. They had told him of their journey across Pakistan's inhospitable desert. Last year, the duo went in search of the pilgrims, who accepted these strangers into their circle. They followed in their footsteps, ate together, shared the little available water, slept under the stars. They all walked fast and purposefully. This is a story of a group who are tough yet tender and whose devotion endures in the name of love, connection, and tradition. The filmmakers shine a light on a part of the world and a group that are underrepresented and often misunderstood. President Donald Trump and his allies are renewing a push to reshape the Federal Reserve after the Supreme Court this week blocked an effort to fire Governor Lisa Cook. Top officials and outside allies are actively exploring ways to remove members of the Fed’s Board of Governors in Washington to clear the way for more of the president’s own picks, according to people familiar with the matter.
