Wilderness Roads: India | Forging Paths in the Most Remote Territories | Free Documentary Wilderness Roads - Malawi: https://youtu.be/DaQJuMJnW3g Wilderness Roads - China: https://youtu.be/qEWFTAEwlEE Zanskar is an ancient realm in the heart of the Himalayas. In this isolated enclave, the highest populated valley in the world, 12 000 Zanskaris live in total autarky. To put an end to this isolation, the Indian government has launched one of its most spectacular construction sites. Hanging on the cliff face, following the meanders of the Zanskar River, the road is progressing very slowly. The works apparently started 40 years ago, but the means employed are inadequate. For the inhabitants of Zanskar, the wait is endless and many despair of seeing the road reach them one day. Yet Zanskar is getting ready to open its doors to the world and may undergo some major upheavals much earlier than planned! Because one man alone, has also decided to built a road. This man is neither an engineer, nor a millionaire, and even less a visionary! His name is Tsultrim Chonjor, he’s 78 years old and he’s a Buddhist monk! Tsultrim has been using a bulldozer to dig through the mountain for two years. Nothing seems to be able to stop this very atypical monk, who’s about to cross the Shingo La Pass, over 5 000 metres above sea level. Everyone admires Tsultrim’s perseverance, but will he manage to open the road to Kargyak, the very first village to the south of Zanskar? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #roadbuiding ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. World’s Toughest Train Rides | Siberia: On Frozen Rails | Free Documentary World’s Most Dangerous Roads - India: https://youtu.be/GJYgVxqXTbQ In the heart of Siberia, deep within the Arctic Circle, Siberia’s Ice Trains operate under extreme conditions, with temperatures plunging to minus 20 degrees Celsius and frequent snowstorms. Starting in Tobolsk, the journey heads 1,000 miles north to Novy Urengoy, Russia’s largest gas field. The railway is crucial for exporting condensed gas, and snowplough trains work tirelessly to keep lines open. From Novy Urengoy, the journey continues across the gas fields to Nadym, where a new railway is being built over Stalin’s infamous "Railway of Death." This harsh Arctic wilderness is also home to the nomadic Nenets people. The journey ends at Labytnangi, where a private train line runs to the Bovanenkovo gas field, the world’s northernmost railway. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI Free Documentary Merch: https://bit.ly/3zpk3mj ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #trainride ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-quality documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by renowned filmmakers working for renowned studios. Most Dangerous Ways To School: Siberia, India & Burma Most Dangerous Ways To School - Philippines, Colombia & Bolivia: https://youtu.be/yY53YY0KfRY Stas, 7, has always lived on the vast, icy plains of Siberia. Now his life is about to change. He will be staying at boarding school for the next year. It takes him several hours by sled to rendezvous with the helicopter that picks up all the nomadic children from the region. In the Indian village where 10-year-old Chanda lives, everybody works at the mine. She does too. She begins her day each morning at dawn and has to wait before she can put on her school uniform to start the long walk to school. Chanda walks for an hour through the stifling air of one of the most polluted regions in the world. Still, she dreams of a better life. San and Wai know the temples of Burma like the back of their hand and for a good reason: they visit them to sell drawings to tourists there. Only by earning enough money to pay for tuition, can they attend school two hours away across the rice fields. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousWaysToSchool ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. On a journey through the desert state, we discover its rough roads. We travel by truck, bus, autorickshaw, and on dromedaries from the Aravalli Mountains to the Thar Desert, encounter free-roaming leopards, huge flocks of cranes, and of course, time and again, sacred cows that calmly block the highways. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI Free Documentary Merch: https://bit.ly/3zpk3mj ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. The Ice Walkers: Surviving on the Frozen Zanskar River | Free Documentary The Organic Gold Hunters of the Himalayas: https://youtu.be/Vff6qWgD4NM The Zanskar is a small forgotten valley surrounded by the high peaks of the Himalayas. When the snow-covered mountain passes are inaccessible, people are cut off from the outside world. Except for a partially frozen stream: a 120km path through a steep mountain range. Traveling through Chadar’s gorges is a hazardous ordeal for children and grown-ups, who must endure cold, fatigue, and thirst, along with fear, and dizzying heights. When the Zanskaris set foot on this shifting river, they do so with extreme caution and prayers, as the ice can easily be fine one day and fatal the next. This time, 150 men are carrying timber to Zanskar. They also escort some pupils back to their school in Leh - Ladakh - after the winter holidays. Meet these men, women, and children who risk their lives each Winter on the ice trail on the Zanskar River. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #himalayas ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. The Organic Gold Hunters of the Himalayas | Free Documentary A Year in Tibet - Life and Survival in an Ultra Remote Town: https://youtu.be/LkTvsN7LQ-Y Every spring, in a remote part of Nepal, tens of thousands of villagers leave their dwellings for a dangerous trek to the Himalayas, in order to collect Yarsagumbu, a caterpillar fungus. This peculiar hybrid between plant and insect is being sold in China up to $60 000 per kilo (or 2.2 lbs), because of its medical wonders worth more than its weight in gold. Suga Lal too leaves his fields, which scarcely provide enough to survive, along with his wife and his two sons to join a group of Yarsagumbu pickers. But this hidden treasure is rare and difficult to find. They will have to climb high up the mountains to harvest enough for the whole year. In the meantime, Dhanchandra, who works for a rich Yarsagumbu dealer based in Kathmandu, travels from camp to camp, with wads of cash, in order to buy the best specimen. It is a dangerous job - he could get robbed any time. Often, the harvest has to be escorted by soldiers to Kathmandu, where it is shipped to Hong Kong pharmacies. From the snow-capped summits of the Himalayas to luxurious penthouses in Hong Kong, from the hands of poor Nepalese to those of the wealthiest Chinese consumers, experience the Himalayan Organic Gold Rush. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #nepal ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. Prison Brides: Marrying Dangerous Men | Free Documentary World’s Toughest Prisons - Bolivia, Mexico & Colombia: https://youtu.be/gQOLz8U4zVw This documentary explores the motives and day-to-day realities of the prisoners and their wives-to-be who are trying to build serious relationships against very long odds. For Zabrina, a 28 year old woman from Florida, it was the apparent spiritual conversion of her husband to be, cocaine dealer Damon Thrash, that was irresistible. That and his mesmerising eyes... Although Damon is only eight years into a 20 year sentence, Zabrina cannot wait to be ‘complete’ by marrying the man she calls the ‘love of her life’ and who managed to woo her almost entirely by letter. The kiss on their wedding day behind bars will be their first ever intimate contact. Marzena is a Polish-born British woman whose husband was imprisoned on the island of Malta soon after they had become a couple. Marzena was pregnant when he was imprisoned and the couple got married soon after to permit them to have ‘conjugal visits’. Now Marzena is travelling from her home town in Wales to Malta in order to introduce him to their second baby – Blossom. For Marines - a 35 year old from Puerto Rico – apart from anything else, marrying her partner is a chance to see him again having been barred from visits for three and a half years. And then there’s Jenn, a young single mother of two, whose ex-husband walked out on her and the kids some time ago and who is now preparing to roll the dice one more time with a handsome devil called Brandon who’s serving a long stretch for armed robbery, and who she met via another inmate she was corresponding with. With intimate access to prison brides in the run up to their wedding and access to the ceremonies themselves, this programme proves the old adage that ‘love moves in mysterious ways’. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #prison ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. Earth's Deadliest Volcanoes | Congo: Nyiragongo and Nyamuragira | Free Documentary Earth's Deadliest Volcanoes - Spain: https://youtu.be/Oq6ODqtzAiY 00:00:00 Mount Nyiragongo Mount Nyiragongo, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, erupts. It engulfs the nearby city of Goma with lava, taking thirty-three lives and destroying almost four thousand homes. Volcano expert Chris Horseley arrives in Goma to find everyone evacuating. The locals fear this lethal mountain could erupt again. Chris wants to ensure the people of Goma are given fair warning of the next disaster by installing a live stream camera system inside the volcano’s crater. But to do this he must drag his team deep into the rebel-held jungle and up to the volcano’s peak. Knife-edge summits, thunderstorms, and collapsing craters lie ahead. Can Chris safely abseil into the ‘mouth of hell’ to set up the life-saving camera? A quarter of a million people rely on his success. 00:42:55 Nyamuragira Volcano Chris Horsley returns to the Congo to investigate a potentially lethal threat to over two million people. A deadly phenomenon called Mazuku, or “Evil Wind”, is killing livestock near a huge 10-mile-long fracture caused by a recent eruption. To get to the bottom of what’s causing the deaths Chris drags his team deep into the middle of rebel-held Congo rainforest to inspect the root of the problem, the legendary Nyamuragira Volcano. The UN’s military section escorted them to the volcano by helicopter, using clouds for cover to avoid ground-to-air missiles. They must land inside the crater, dodging acid gas clouds and potentially molten lava. Once inside, Chris will have one hour to complete his mission, which if successful will help the government to predict future natural disasters. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #volcano ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. A Year in Tibet: Life and Survival in an Ultra Remote Town | Full Series | Free Documentary World's Toughest Lives - Stories from the Hidden Worlds: https://youtu.be/7up6T4FLmzc Isolated in the midst of the world's highest mountain ranges, Tibet is one of the most remote, least accessible places on the planet. Bold, compelling, and with unprecedented filming access, this series opens a window into the Tibetan town of Gyantse and its beautiful Baijin monastery. It is a town of two halves: part jumble of tiny streets with traditional wooden houses, part modern commercial center - an intriguing mix of ancient and modern. Through a handful of powerful and engaging characters, follow the reality of daily life for ordinary people living in an extraordinary place - one of the most mysterious and secretive communities in the world. From the hotelier struggling to attract more tourists, to the village shaman who is worried that the rain cannon will put him out of business because the farmers no longer need him to placate the gods, this is a series that fascinates on both a human and emotional level. 00:00:00 The Visit The Panchen Lama, the highest-ranking Buddhist living in Tibet today, pays an unexpected visit to the local monastery and throws the monks into turmoil. A local hotel owner is worried about the lack of business. In the nearby village of Tangmai, a young farmer's wife is rushed to hospital with complications with her pregnancy. 00:51:07 Three Husbands and a Wedding It's autumn and everyone is pulling together to get in the harvest, as Dundan worries about hailstones flattening his crops. The local government has installed guns to disperse the clouds and this has put the shaman Tseden, who used to protect the fields with spells, out of a job. Tseden is also helping a local family to arrange their daughter's wedding. 01:41:51 Faith, Hope, and Charity The monks begin preparations for New Year, one of Tibet's biggest festivals. Lhakpa, a local rickshaw driver, struggles to earn money as winter approaches. He embarks on a scheme to buy and sell puppies, with disastrous consequences. Hotel owner Jianzang gets involved in a court case which has a surprising outcome. In Tangmai, the doctor cannot cure Lhamo's crippling stomach pains. 02:33:00 Monks Behaving Badly In the Pel Kor monastery, the director Choephel discovers that some irreplaceable statues have been stolen and the theft gives the local Communist Party an excuse to put in a government 'work team' to weed out monks they think are behaving badly. Lhakpa heads north in search of a lucrative job on a building site, and Butri gets an unpleasant surprise as she approaches her retirement. 03:23:47 A Tale of Three Monks Deputy head lama Tsultrim has to juggle running the monastery whilst complying with a myriad of government restrictions. Young monk Tsephun lives and works with his master Dondrup, a curmudgeonly old lama. Tsephun helps his master with the day-to-day jobs of cleaning and tidying; in return, Dondrup teaches Tsephun the sutras and scriptures, an essential part of becoming a monk. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #tibet ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. Earth's Deadliest Volcanoes | Spain: La Palma | Free Documentary World's Toughest Lives - Stories from the Hidden Worlds: https://youtu.be/7up6T4FLmzc It was the volcanic event that gripped the world. An inconspicuous hill on the Spanish Island of La Palma bursts open, releasing an avalanche of lava. In its path are the homes of seven thousand residents and the emergency services rush to evacuate before there are any casualties. Within twenty-four hours, volcano expert Chris Horsley is on the scene. Chris’s day job typically involves retrieving molten lava samples and installing state-of-the-art monitoring systems inside volcanos, but here, with a fountain of lava blasting 400 meters into the air and annihilating everything in its fall zone, it’s far too dangerous. Instead, Chris and his team embark on a journey to document the eruption. They discover how this volcano was formed and track the devastating havoc the unstoppable lava wreaks as it hits roads, villages, and towns. Inside, the prisoners are in control. The inmates rule and anarchy prevails. Only the strongest survive this lawless place. 00:46:55 Mexico: El Hongo El Hongo – a high-security bunker in Mexico´s desert. Sensors, cameras, mobile phone jammers – this prison is high-tech. Snipers on fifteen guard towers make sure nothing gets in or out. El Hongo is deemed incorruptible – in a country where corruption runs through all levels of society like cancer. Organized crime, cartel bosses, corrupt government members – the prisoners here could endanger the safety of the entire country. Anyone who makes trouble will be sent to the punishment block. With sentences up to seventy years, some inmates have nothing to lose. 01:31:28 Colombia: Cárcel Distrital It's small but it's tough: The Carcel Distrital in Bogotá, Colombia. The prison staff of 170 ensures stern discipline and order within the red brick walls - on a daily basis. The 1000-plus inmates aren't used to rules. 02:16:06 Colombia: Picaleña Prison The country's fifth-largest prison houses over five thousand men and women. No prisoner has ever escaped. Carlos, 28, is serving 27 years for murder, drug dealing, and fraud, while his wife Lilian, incarcerated just 200 meters away, is serving time as an accessory to murder. Family imprisonment is common due to the familial nature of drug trafficking. Carlos's weekly highlight is courtyard time, where inmates can play football or other sports. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #BehindBars ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios.
