VISITING GEORGE MILLER AND HIS FAMILY IN NEW MARKET ST.ELIZABETH, MELISSA GRADUATED
Today, we returned to visit the Miller family, one of the families whose lives were completely turned upside down when Hurricane Melissa destroyed their home. Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of our donors and supporters, through the SHAN ZENZEN– Look Out for Your Neighbor Foundation, we were able to help rebuild their home and give them a fresh start. ❤️ On this visit, we brought groceries and spent time catching up with the family. George Miller is a hardworking small farmer who works tirelessly to provide for his family, while his wife stands faithfully beside him, helping however she can. We were also thrilled to celebrate a very special milestone—their daughter Melissa has successfully graduated from kindergarten and will be entering Grade One this September! We are so proud of her and wish her nothing but success as she continues her educational journey. Although the family has made tremendous progress since losing everything, they still face many challenges. George shared with us that disease recently affected several of his crops, including his sweet potatoes and dasheen, resulting in significant losses and making it even more difficult to provide for his family. Your continued support can make a real difference. Whether through donations, sharing this video, or simply keeping this family in your prayers, every act of kindness helps bring hope to families like the Millers. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us continue to transform lives across Jamaica. ❤️ If you'd like to support the Miller family or the work of the SHAN ZENZEN – Look Out for Your Neighbor Foundation, please reach out using the contact information in the description or on our social media pages. 876-919-5344 Please Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe to help us reach more people and continue changing lives together. #MelissaGraduates #KindergartenGraduation #Jamaica #HurricaneMelissa #MillerFamily #HelpingFamilies #CommunitySupport #FarmerLife #Hope #GivingBack #Humanity #NonProfit #SHANZN #LookOutForYourNeighbor #JamaicaVlog #KindnessMatters #SupportSmallFarmers #ChangingLives #Inspiration #YouTubeJamaica

WE VISITED MS.NICOLA GOWDIE IN CRANE ROAD BLACK ST.ELIZABETH JAMAICA 7 MONTHS POST HURRICANE MELISSA
Seven months after Hurricane Melissa devastated parts of Jamaica, we traveled back to visit Ms. Nicola Gowdie and her family to see how they are surviving after losing their home to the powerful storm. Many people around the world may remember Ms. Nicola from the heartbreaking videos and reports that were featured on major news stations including Fox News and CNN after the hurricane struck. When we first met Ms. Nicola just 2 days after the hurricane, the situation was heartbreaking. She and her family had gone days without food or water, struggling to survive after everything they owned was destroyed. By God’s grace, we were able to be the first people to bring food and support to Ms. Nicola and her family during one of the darkest moments of their lives. In this video, we revisit her seven months later to see the progress, the struggles that still remain, and to remind the world that families affected by disasters still need help long after the cameras stop rolling. Thank you to everyone who continues to support these families through your prayers, donations, and kind words. Please watch, share, and continue supporting families in need across Jamaica. ❤️ #HurricaneMelissa #Jamaica #BlackRiver #CraneRoad #NicolaGowdie #HurricaneSurvivor #DisasterRelief #RebuildingLives #JamaicaNews #CommunitySupport #StormRecovery #HumanityFirst #HelpingOthers #CaribbeanNews #LifeAfterTheStorm #JamaicanFamilies #WeatherDisaster #SupportJamaica #GivingBack #RealLifeStories #shanzenzen

THE TWO AUTISTIC BROTHERS ARE FACING SERIOUS CHALLENGES & THEIR FATHER IN MY EYES IS TOO LAID BACK
This video is about our continued visits to the Melhado family in Porus, Manchester — a family we have known and supported for almost two years. The family consists of a loving grandmother who has been raising her two autistic grandsons from they were babies, David Melhado and Robert Melhado, along with their father, who is one of the grandmother’s sons. When we first met this family, the father reached out to us asking for assistance. He shared that he wanted to start a chicken farming business, so with the help of generous donors, we refurbished an old dormant chicken coop and donated 150 chickens along with enough feed to support the project until the chickens were ready for market. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the business did not work out as planned. Since then, we have continued assisting the family whenever possible through food packages, care packages, and spending time with the brothers — including taking them for haircuts, meals, and offering support where we can. After some time, the father explained that he wanted to begin burning coal as another way to support the family and requested assistance in getting a chainsaw/power saw. Once again, with the help of donors, we were able to provide the equipment. However, during this recent visit, I was disappointed to learn that the saw has not yet been used to create any income or improve the family’s situation. During our visit, the father also shared that the two autistic brothers have been facing challenges lately. He explained that there are times when they do not take their medication, and they sometimes leave home very early in the morning and return late in the evening. Despite the struggles, this family continues to hold together through the love and dedication of their grandmother, who remains one of the strongest pillars in their lives. Thank you to everyone who continues to support families like the Melhado family through your kindness, prayers, and donations. Your support truly makes a difference. #communitysupport #jamaica #shanzenzen #autism
